Ukraine - Medical aid for Ukraine
To assist war victimis during the war in Ukraine, SwissLimbs donated vascular surgery devices for the Feofaniya Clinical Hospital in Kyiv
From 24 February 2022, when the Russian Federation’s armed attack against Ukraine started, to 18 April 2022, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) recorded 4,966 civilian casualties in the country: 2,104 killed and 2,862 injured.
It is clear that in the present situation, hospitals in Ukraine are essential for saving the lives of those who are injured, but also of those sick who cannot survive without their own treatment. The constant attacks and uncertainty about what might happen, in addition to the lack of appropriate medical devices, make the work of doctors particularly complex.
For this reason, SwissLimbs' objective is supporting the Feofaniya Clinical Hospital in Kyiv, to obtain essential medical devices for the care of victims of war in Ukraine in vascular surgery. These devices have been directly requested to us by the Chief Doctor of the Feofaniya Clinical Hospital.
