"This leg is lighter and more comfortable", Sakina Majeshi, 21 years old, from Mwanza, Tanzania
Sakina Majeshi is a 21 years old, young and humble girl who lives in Mwanza, Tanzania.
In 2015, she had a boda boda accident on her way home from school that resulted in the amputation of her left leg.
Since then, she has been using a prosthesis made with Japur technology. But on 3 December 2020, she received her second leg made with SwissLimbs technology, thanks to the
Mwanza Prosthetics & Orthotics Workshop - the orthopedic center opened by SwissLimbs in 2018 - and the promotion organised on International Day of Disabled Persons, during which 200 legs were donated.
After receiving the new prosthesis, she said: "This leg is lighter and more comfortable".
